Help ROP score a Touchdown by Making Our Building more Accessible and Hospitable

Why is ROP doing the "Join the Team" Campaign again this year? - Throughout the Bible, God's mandate to serve the poor is clearly evident. (A couple verses to check out are Is. 58:6-12 and Matt. 25:31-46). The only real question is what does my (and your) service to the poor look like? Restoration Outreach Programs offers many opportunities to serve the poor through use of your time, talent and treasure. To learn more or get involved, click on the appropriate link below.

This year a major focus of our Join the Team Campaign is raising the funds needed in support of ROP's expanding role in Community Development by making our building more accessible and hospitable.  We hope to do this in two specific ways.

  • One is to hire and train a team of receptionists from our community in order that we have at least 15 hours per week when our front door is not locked and people know there will be someone available to give them the assistance they are seeking.
  • A second step is replacing the 60+ year-old tile in our primary ministry rooms and the carpet in the front of the building.
It is our hope and expectation that these enhancements to our services and facilities will better convey the dignity and respect we want to show all those who come to our ministry seeking assistance.

If you would like to make a donation in support of ROP's plans to make our building more accessible and hospitable, please click on the "Donate Today" button below. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated, but you can be an MVP with a donation of $500 or more or a pledge of monthly support. Please be sure to indicate in the comment box that your gift is part of the Join The Team campaign.

Of course, another major goal of ROP's annual Join the Team campaign is to mobilize volunteers who are called and gifted to serve in on of our ongoing programs.  Several of our programs would benefit tremendously from the addition of just 2 or three volunteers. We know that distance is a significant obstacle for many prospective volunteers. So we encourage you to consider turning a potential negative into a positive by inviting a family member or friend to share some fellowship time on the commute to and from ROP.

To conclude our campaign we will be hosting an Open House at ROP's building on Sunday, November 1st from 2 to 4pm. At the end of each hour a leader from one of our refugee church partners will share his story of transitioning from life in his country to life in Denver (2:45 Nepal and 3:45 Myanmar). The Open House will also provide a great opportunity to talk to ROP staff, catch up on all of ROP's existing programs and to check out our newly expanded Kitchen.

ROP's spending and staff have grown at a fraction of the rate of our services. Most of the growth in ministry ROP has experienced in the past and any growth we hope to see going forward has been and will be a direct result of the volunteers God has called and will call to Join the ROP Team.
